      TYPES AND COST OF MEMBERSHIP

      Regular Member

      Dealers, Contractors, Integrators or Central Stations who must be licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety – Private Security Bureau and/or the Texas State Board of Insurance – Office of the Fire Marshall. Regular members receive full member benefits. Dues are based on the number of employees in your company in Texas

      Associate Member

      Manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors of products or services relating to security, fire or life safety equipment or systems. Associates receive full member benefits.

      Annual Dues 425.00

      Applicant Membership

      Any entity that satisfies every requirement for Regular Membership as cited in these Bylaws, except that the entity has not been licensed in the State of Texas with the Texas Private Security Board, and/or The State Board of Insurance Office of the Fire Marshal. The Applicant Member shall be entitled to benefits of this Association including; receiving member services at the member rate, serving on committees, except that they shall not vote and shall not hold office. An Applicant Member may remain an Applicant Member for a period of one year. At the expiration of the one-year period, if the Applicant Member has not been appropriately licensed in the State of Texas, then the Applicant Membership shall automatically terminate.

      Public Safety Partner

      Any employee of a law enforcement or fire safety governmental organization or agency can be a Public Safety Partner as long the enabling employment continues. Employees of school districts or other agencies that install and maintain their own security or fire systems are not eligible. Entitled to TBFAA benefits including; receiving member services at the member rate, serving on committees, except that they shall not vote and shall not hold office.
