DPS Employee Records Survey

Members and Industry Associates,

The primary focus of TBFAA is legislation.  While you might not know all that we are doing behind the scenes, with this being a legislative session, we are working to see what is in the pipeline that may affect our industry.  

There is currently a bill (HB1065) that would require the DPS to inspect employment records (most likely through payroll records) to determine if a company is properly classifying their employees. While proper classification of employees is a federal requirement, if HB1065 is passed, it would put the inspection of employee classification in the hands of the DPS.
